Squeaking noise from the back seat

My squeaking noise from the back seat is KILLING ME!!!!!! it seems to be getting worse but I think its due to the cold temp. It seems to be worse in extreme heat and anywhere below about 40 degrees. Ive done some searching here and found a TSB, but has anyone had the TSB done? did it fix the squeak? I have to get this fixed soon or else im gonna go crazy. Heres the TSB I found. Please let me know if this has worked for anyone.

ISSUE:
Some 2004 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a rattling and/or squeaking noise coming from the power sliding rear window.

ACTION:
To service, adhere a piece of urethane padding to the bottom of the power sliding rear window. The urethane pad is available in the Rotunda Squeak and Rattle Kit (part #164-R4900). Parts can be ordered at 1-800-ROTUNDA. Refer to the following Service Procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Remove upper run channel by pulling down and outward from the driver's side of the vehicle (Figure 1, View A). A SMALL PICK OR A PAIR OF NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS MAY BE HELPFUL.
Remove the rear seat back per Section 501-10 of the Workshop Manual.
Remove the rear trim panel per Section 501-01 of the Workshop Manual.
Remove the center child safety seat tether anchor as per Section 501-20A of the Workshop Manual.
Remove the rear center glass by pushing the glass up out of the lower window run (Figure 1, View B), then pulling forward and downward on the bottom of the pane.
Clean the lower corners of the glass with alcohol (OBTAIN LOCALLY).
Cut two (2) pieces of urethane pad (part #164-R4902) 5 mm wide and 25 mm long (0.20" wide and 1" long).
Attach the urethane padding to the bottom of the lower corners of the glass.
NOTE: BEGIN ADHESION OF THE URETHANE PAD EDGE 20 MM (0.75") INBOARD OF THE CORNER ON THE HORIZONTAL EDGE OF GLASS, ENSURING THAT THE CORNER IS WRAPPED IN FELT.

Reinstall the glass in reverse order of removal. ENSURE THAT THE URETHANE PAD DOES NOT ROLL DURING REASSEMBLY.

PART NUMBER PART NAME
164-R4902 Urethane Pad

I had that done. Sorry to say I still hear it but not as often. I don't think it was my window though. The sound, the best I can describe it, sounds like styrofoam rubbing together. Sorta anyways. Hard to find the source. I only get it when hitting bumps in the road.

Thats exactly what mine sounds like. Styrofoam rubbing together. and I cant stand it. Unfortunately almost every road here is a little bumpy or uneven or whatever, but its enough to make it squeak constantly.

I even went as far as removing EVERY item from the truck. Just to make sure it was not something moving around. Console stuff, glovebox, under back seat, etc. Mine's not too bad right now. The vibe issue of mine is at top of my list right now.

Let me know if you get it fingered out

So do I understand this right, the styrofoam rubbing together sound is from the sliding rear window?

i just heard the squeaking noise yesterday in my truck. it does sound like it's coming from the rear sliding window. when it's closed, i can barely hear it. when it's open, it's fairly loud.

the noise is intermittent for me. i heard it around noon when i was running errands. the temperature was about 60 degrees. later that evening, i drove it again and didn't hear it. temps were about 50 degrees.

question for those that have the squeak: do any of you have satellite radio with the antenna mounted on the roof and have the wire running through the 3rd brake light?

I am having a similar problem, very intemittant. I found the B pillar, plastic on the doors causes this problem, while driving had a friend put hand pressure in this area and it stopped. Had the dealer replace the plastic on the door pillars, but still occuring
infrequently. It was on the right side only, very odd. It seems that the plastic rubs or makes contact where the door latches, but my truck has not done it for a while, only when on wavy or bumpy roads.

Unhappy

The problem is there for me also, but it is not the sliding rear window as mine is fixed.

I havent got mine fixed yet. I need to take some time off work so I can go to Conn. and get it fixed. Mine does it whether the rear slider is opened or closed, it doesnt matter. It squeaks like hell when going over any bumps. I dont have the audiophile, and my XM antenna is not going out the back thru the brake light. All I know is its getting worse and I really HATE driving my truck now because of it.

PLEASE, PLEASE ,PLEASE..Let me know if you can find it and fix it. Its gonna be a while before I can get to Conn. for a few days to get my truck fixed. If youve followed any of my other posts, you'll knoew I have zero luck or patients for any of the dealers here in South Jersey. They all suck, so I go to Conn. Anyway, good luck and deff. let me know if you can fix it.
