I am so pissed right now!! I just bought a my STX F150 this past April. I try to park it in the middle of nowhere to avoid a$$holes who don't care about other people's car. Even at my apartment, I park my truck in a empty parking lot thats about 40 yards from the parking spots in front of my apartment.

Well sometime yesterday some a$$hat decides to open their door on my passenger side quarterpanel. Not only is there one dent, but two dents are on top of each other. They are about the size of a pea and are noticeable. I'm so mad, but at the same time its makes me depressed seeing my truck like that. I was planning to wash it today, but I don't even want to touch it or drive it. I figure its going to be at least a couple hundred dollars to fix it. WHY can't people have alittle respect for other peoples propriety??WHY??WHY??

Yes, I haul stuff every now and then and yes there a couple of scratches in the bed. I don't mind that. See, thats where the dents and scratches should be in the bed. Whats wrong with having a nice look truck??

It's just a truck, doesn't mean you shouldn't care about it.

There's a lot of quality dent fixers out there. Find one. It's not right for others to lack respect for property, but getting depressed over it is a bit extreme. Get yourself a dent fixer and be done with it. Waive some cash around. It has a magical effect.

I guess that moron hasnt figured out that about 20% of trucks are used as trucks. The other 80% are status symbols and daily drivers. Thats why trucks cost as much as they do. Also why they ride so much better than older trucks. I too think people should respect others property, but realisticly thats not going to happen. It has to be taught to you when you are young by a parent or guardian and now most parents are content to drop their kids off somewhere and let them run wild. The decline of civilization so to speak. I hope you get your truck fixed and maybe what comes around will go around for the culprit who dinged your truck. Good luck.

The guy who replyed to you is just a jerk dude..... Seriously, just because its a truck doesnt mean it has to be used as one 24/7, Trucks these days ride just as good if not better as luxury cars. Yet we're still capable of hauling things WHEN NEEDED, and having the best 4x4 on the road :banana: i would act the same way dude...... My last truck (03 f150) was so nice, i pulled into the parking lot at starbucks (usualy i ALWAYS park far away to keep my truck from getting dinged) but this time i parked next to the door..... when i was leaving, this lady pulls up besides me so i waited for her to get in her spot, Big ol lady....Whom decides to FLING her door open to get out, we're talking she wasnt being gentle she pushed it open as if she was pissed.... i could hear the loudest Thump on my passanger door... she didnt even know i was in there because my windows are tinted, she finally looked up as she got out and saw i was sitting in there and was just like "oh sorry" and im like WTF?!??! got a crappy apology but luckely i had no dent on my door. Built ford tuff baby :thumbsup: theres my dumb ALMOST dent story....

wow double whammy 1st someone dings your truck then some jerk has the gaul to say that not just to you but to all who own trucks if i want a truck im not worried about id buy a used hunk of junk but like you i spent a pile of dough and park out back to avoid the door hits id be pissed to and since i hit a deer i know how you feel theres alot more i could say here but its getting long hope you can get it fixed reasonably and looking good again

I understand what you’re saying; it tough to see your brand new truck get dinged by a careless ahole and that reply you got from stevevt is the pits. I bet if it were his truck, he wouldn’t be so cavalier.

I know how you feel about that little dent. Unfortunately these days, the words "respect" and "people" are generally never used in the same sentence in a good context.

Have no fear, hopefull there is a dent wizard near you (http://www.dentwizard.com/site/US/EN/index.htm). Should only cost you a hundred or so. And quick. People suck, this is nothing new. You can only hope for the one sweet day that you catch the little focker in the act and rain down on them with blows of fury until they cease to move. Then, toss a few more knuckle sandwiches down their throat until you feel satisfied. Take their money, jewlery, and anything else they have of value to cover the cost of the repair. Ahhhh... sweet justice!

I agree with some of the posts above concerning Dent Doctor (or similar) fixing it. Could even be less than $100 if its really accessible from the back side.

The answer is, people are just plain stupid anymore. Sure, there were idiots in the 'old days', but we have an overabundance of them now. I wish we could go back to the 'old days' justice where more people actually were punished more harshly. No, someone shouldn't be hanged for denting a truck, but if they were caught (doing it on purpose), I think a fitting punishment would be:
1. You get to dent every car they own, as well as one other car in their extended family (for peer pressure reasons - screw up and cause others in your family hardship and everyone in your family will be ticked at you too).
2. Pay for damages, as well as a little extra for any hardship it causes you for being without the truck during repairs.
3. 2 days in jail

Maybe that would at least deter people from doing this ON PURPOSE. Of course, if it was a pure accident, then that's another story. They should still pay for the damage though. People have no repsect these days.

Anyway, I know it sucks. I found a very small ding in mine near the door handle. Don't know how it happened, but even tiny dings show up in black paint.

this happened to me a month or so ago. Luckilly it was a car and my nerf bars took all of it instead of my door panel. Musta been another truck or suv with a higher door that opened up on ur truck. The best part of what happened to me, i was sitting in the drivers seat when the hooker flung her door wide and ran into the store. So i knew exactly who it was that had no respect for others property. Shame about her door. :devil:
