I have seen a white "paint" pen before that you can use to go over your white letters to restore them (thats what its made for). I think you can get it at Autozone or somewhere like that. However I have NEVER seen the white letters wear off. You can even curb the hell out of them and they don't wear off. I think if you try a brillo pad on them it will restore them much better than you think...but if not try to find one of those pens.

Quit rubbing your tires on the curb !!! Best way to keep the letters ....

Simple Green is the best to clean white letters that are not worn/fading.

Spray on ...a little scrub and presto .... Beyooteeful again ...

Comet. It'll work. The white letters are not 'painted' on. Scrub them with comet.

Tire Cleaner

I used to use Westley's Bleech-White. Works like a charm. It's pretty powerful and always works great.

Since, I have been using Bombardier (Johnson/Evinrude) marine cleaner. It's about $6.99 a bottle and a few squirts and a couple rubs with a tire brush and you're golden!

True, but I've never seen it on Goodyear tires... Or any tire from the factory for that matter.. even Generals!

to answer the original question, if you scrub the tires with the aforementioned COmet first, you may find that white comes back. If you scrape your tires on the sidewalk, the black rubber gets smeared on the white.

Clean first before you decide to paint the tires.

Bleache-White and a copper brush, works great for me. The white lettering pen is available at JC Whitney if your letters have actually worn off but I have never seen that before either. Try cleaning them first.
