du-ha underseat storage - anyone have this

I saw this in the Pheasant Forever Edition Ford F150 crew cab in the latest PF magazine. It can store 2 rifles/shotgun plus other stuff. I looks like a great product. If any one has this, do you like it.

Thumbs up

Tman,

That looks like a cool set-up - too bad they don't make a half one. The sub takes up all the space on the driver's side, but I would relocate my jack to be able to fit a half one on the passenger side.

Damn for $169 bucks I will keep my tool box!! It does look nice but that is way to much money to spend.

Neat concept. I guess you're out of luck if you have the audiophile though...

This topic looks to have been dead for awhile, but I got the DU-HA for my SuperCrew about a month ago and I like it. It's built better than I expected and installs easily; only potential downside is that the jack has to be relocated and now takes up a good bit of space in the DU-HA itself. I blame that on Ford for coming up with a crappy spot to put the jack in the first place.

Haven't used the gun holders yet but they look like they'll work fine for unscoped rifles/shotguns. All in all a better solution than the half-unit Ford sells.

For that much money it needs an arm with a gloved hand holding a tissue to come up and wipe my backside for me. I could see $20 or maybe even $40 if it's really nice and sturdy. But it's a friggin' cheap plastic tray for Pete's sake!

I don't see a $160 accessory on a $38,000 truck as excessive, but I guess it comes down to each individual. Now bug shields...THERE is "a friggin' cheap plastic tray" that people want too much for.

I bought this one and it is expensive, but I agree with taw1126..it not much to spend on a $38k truck. I was more than disappointed that there wasn't any storage taken into consideration when Ford did the redesign of the interior. No locking glove box, no locking console storage. Even the Du Ha box does not lock. But I didn't want to go with a storage box in the bed. 5.5 ft is small enough as it is. So the only way to get any additonal storage is to make one for under the rear seat or go with the Du Ha..Spent the money and haven't looked back

I think that's pretty cool. I could go for more storage too...but I have the sub problem also. I do happen to cram a tow hitch, extra tool bag, a wheel measure and a flashlight around my jack though on the passenger rear side.

Du-Ha and Bed Divider

The Du-Ha storage kit looks great, but us Audiophile's can't use it unfortunately.. well worth the sacrafice..

I've got a spray in bedliner on my 2004 SCREW, and am now looking at either gettin a tool box in the bed, OR, a retractable hard top bed cover.. since I still need part of the bed to store my tools, and if I go with the bed cover, I'm wondering if there is a "bed divider" or something decent that I can partition the front few feet of my bed, to keep tools and stuff from flying around.. I could build something outta lumber, but is there something better, that would fit in and lock in place, that's removable, to split the bed up??

Cool It's in there...

Got the DU-HA installed and loaded up! This thing is great. It is made of 1/4" inch thick heavy plastic and bolts in place of the jack bracket. I can finally use the rear seat space for extra storage. I'll post more if there are any questions.

I've been looking at them awhile now. The $170 is hard to justify for a storage bin. I saw one the other day and they look real tough and sturdy. I'm going to have to spring for one since I cannot have anything in the bed since I haul my dirt bikes there.

Question

Do you have to cut the passenger side bottom out for the seat frame near the jack bracket, or does it come with an opening there?

I bought a flat toolbox made out of tough black plastic, it fits perfectly under the seat. Cost at Sears -- $ 13.00.
