now i just need to know if the 3" lift will clear 305/70/17's or will i have to go with 285/70/17's mud terrains of course.

The skyjacker is the better way to go.You will find the price wont be that much different when you factor in labor.From what i understand the body lift has more labor than suspension kits.However $269 does seam high for a body lift kit.When I got my truck lifted I was told they could add a 3"body lift (kit only)for around another $100.00.(labor extra) And yes you can clear 305's with a 3"lift

sounds good. the labor im not worried about. i lowered 2 of my trucks i think i can add a block and some coils

i found the mudshot's in 305/70/17 for $180 a tire. im actually looking for any 305/70/17 tire thats out there. any ideas?

Before your post the only 305/70-17 tire I knew of was the Goodyear Wrangler MTR. Also, the 305/70-17's work out to be a 34x12.50-17.

The Pro Comp AT, Pro Comp MT and Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTX are available in 33x12.50-17.

Pro Comp MT were the ones i was gonna buy. theyre actually buy 3 get one free but the cheapest ive found them for is $227.

is there any 285/70/17, 305/70/17 tire or 33x12.50x17 tire thats not over $150!

found it! im gonna go with the MAXXIS Buckshot Mudder
305x70R-17 for $154.95 i should be able to clear this with my 3" lift. if not with minor fender trimming.
