Exclamation AIRAID Mass Airflow Sensor on the RIGHT WAY?

I recently installed the AIRAID Intake. When I first fired up my truck, it sputtered a little like it was going to shut-off, but I gave it a little throttle and she was fine. I'm not quite sure if I installed the factory AIRMASS FLOW SENSOR on the AIRAID the correct way.

Which direction should the arrow be pointing when re-installing the AIRMASS SENSOR back onto the AIRAID tube.

I hope I didn't mess anything up.

Second question, when I listen to the engine with the hood open, I hear the rockers making little tapping sounds.... Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Carl

There should be a arrow with "FLOW" on the sensor. Flow arrow should be pointing towards the throttle body.

The MAS should be pointed towards the front of the vehicle that is to say the section that allows airflow into the MAS. There are screws that come with the installation kit that you are supposed to use instead of the screws that came out of the stock system. DO NOT USE THE SCREWS FROM THE STOCK MAS they are longer and push the MAS to far in to the airintake and you will get the engine light to come on.

The AIRAID intake must be fully seated on to the Throttle Body completely also if it is not you may get a lean running condition.

I think that Zoltan and jvernacchio mean the same thing.

I took the MAS off the factory intake and put it onto the AIRAID and the arrow is pointing toward the back of the engine. Which is toward the throttle body, not toward the air filter.

Air is sucked in through the filter right? Not pushed out?

I hope that this is correct

Sounds like you got it right. Airflow from filter to throttle body. (Arrow pointing towards throttle body).

I would look into jvernacchio's screw recommendation.
