No offense but...... I love Borla and have had their kits on a few of my Fords. Then I saw how the driverside exhaust pipe hangs down under the spare tire. It looks terrible from behind and would catch on just about anything if you went off roading.
I was worried about this as well before I ordered the system. I don't know if borla did some changes or what but my crossover pipe does not look like the pics I have seen. It is tucked right up under the spare tire directly behind the axle. It is hardly noticable at all and there is no way you would hit it offroading. Very nice exhaust with a deep note and no drone at any speed.

I had a Magnaflow installed last week. 18' long, on my STX 4.6 Regular cab short bed.
Drone doesn't begin to cover it. Actual pressure on the ears when you hit a mild hill, or back off the throttle.
So the vendor replaced it with 24' Magnaflow. That's the ticket. Not stock sounding, good power increase, you know the motor's running, but not painful. My truck sounds powerful, but adult owned, not like a kids toy.

Hey Polaris...do you have any pics of your exhaust? I would like to see it, and see if it really is different than Grayflares. Im getting real close to buying an exhaust system and just cant figure out which one I want. I thought I seen where Bassani has a cat-back for the 04, but now im not sure. I know Bullit you sent me pics, but was that a real kit or was that mufflers and an aftermarket tip? I cant find the Bassani kit anywhere that specifies its for the new style F150. I just sent them an email. Hope to hear from them soon. If not Bassani, I think Borla will be the way I will go.

Does anyone have a sound clip of the Borla on the 04 5.4L?

The Bassani is a kit, everything comes complete. I have a link to where you can buy it, I will find it in a min. I did send you some pics of a setup with aftermarket tips as well though. Harley Bill on FTW has the catback setup like that.

BTW I got my exhaust done today and love it! Pics are in my gallery.

Thanks man!

I searchd for it the other night, but couldnt find it. Went out and did a little looking for you and found it... Two Bassan setups.

Part # 54041-4 is the all stainless steel cat back for $615.95 or go cheaper with aluminized/stainless steel with less performance # BX-54041-4 for $449.95 at www.sporttruckdirect.com

Hope this helps!

my Flowmaster 50 series delta flow has no drone on hwy at any speed . I recently picked up a 40 series delta flow 3inch in dual 2.25 out . I wanna breathe a little better and growl a little louder.
