wheels and tires

This might sound stupid, but I am contiplating on what wheel and tire combo i want. I have seen a few 04's lifted and thier tires stick out way too much. I also looked at some of your gallerys and they look fine. Now when a wheel is 18x8.5 or 18x9, does that mean the 18x9 is 1/2 inch wider, sp should i get the 8.5. Also, there is a guy selling american eagle wheels on e bay, and they are pretty cheap. He says they will fit on a 2x4 or 4x4, i thought a 2x4 and a 4x4 are two seperate wheels? Does an 04 have front wheel lock? Should I trust this guy and order the wheels?

Are you looking at tomz wheels? He has a good deal on some 17x9 AE's I was looking at. I found them at a local dealer about $30 cheaper.

Yes, a 9" wheel is .5" wider than an 8.5" wheel. It's entirely possible that the wheels will fit, in fact I think they do. They were interchangeable on the previous body style between the 4x2 and 4x4.
