Got two 04's now. Question!!!

Just got an 04 Lariat Screw 4x2 in June, then got an 04 FX4 Screw Saturday. Both great trucks, but I have a question...

I plan on lifting the FX4 high in the future with some 18inch Weld Evo rims and 37's. But when I do I want to put the FX4 rims on the Lariat 4x2. I have heard they make a spacer lift for up front, right? What height would I need to clear the biggest size tire on the stock 18 inch rims? Is it a two inch spacer or 2.5 that would level off the 4x2?

Thanks!!!

Oh and one more question! I am looking for exhaust... I want character! Loudness! Resonation!

I had magnaflow on my 03, it had character, but not loud enough. Dont care for flowmaster on the older F150's, but does it sound better on the new truck?

Bullitt check out your local muffler for a performance exhaust . Had mine installed at a local put on a muffler called OXBO and it sounds great at 65 and hard accelleration. Lets see sounds like a older 5.0 exhaust but a little louder

I wonder how it would sound with a dual tip exit in front of the tire on the side.

Will shorter or longer pipeing give a louder exhaust sound?

I have straight pipes from the cats back and it sounds awesome, especially when you step on it. I've received tons of compliments on it. The best part is....the pipes are a lot cheaper than the cat-back kits.

The two most popular spacers are the Daystar ( http://www.daystarproducts.com/html/mainpage/index.htm ) and AutoSpring. I'm not sure of the Autospring (I have a Daystar) but the DS only comes in one flavor. I think it's a one-kit levels all kinda deal. Stock wheels can support a 33" wheel according to some, but I'd have to believe you'll have pre-mature and un-even tire wear due to the 7.5" width of the wheel. Most tires over the largest stock size (32") require at least an 8" wide wheel. Only time would tell, though....

Hope this helps. Two F150s... I'm jealous!
