newbie here...Hello

Ive been lurking in these forums in the last 2 weeks doing research. I took the plunge and got a 2004 SCrew FX4. Just picked it up today. I got to tell you...I feel like a kid with a new toy.

I'm really glad I got the FX4 b/c it has some of the stuff I was going to add with aftermarket parts anyway like lifting it a little, skid plates and 3.73 LS.

I have only ridden home and test driven it , I absolutely love it. So what is it I need to know about the FX4. Are the Rancho shocks any good?

nanners for me...

Welcome aboard silver!!

The audiophile is an option that adds to the 6-disc in dash changer. It tacks on a 90-watt powered sub under the rear seats, and component speakers in the front door. Not to shabby for a factory system, but not enough for a true 'audiophile' person.

'Nanners for the newb!

Welcome a congrats Silver-Gt. 04 fx4 do look great. You will love the change once you spend time behind the wheel . Some members stated they enjoy going shopping with their wifes just to get to drive their trucks. Now thats true love LOL.

I personally didn't see a diff between my Lariat screw & my neighbors FX4 scab... Same height, but the FX4 suspention is 'off-road tuned'.

I’m not for sure on this but I think the FX4 & all other 4 wheel drives have a 2” block between the rear leaf spring and the axle. The 4x2’s don’t have the spacer block.
