PCM = Powertrain Control Module
In simple terms, it is the "computer" that runs your truck.

Here is a picture of it under the hood:

I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your brand new truck, but this thread does contain a lot of useful information. Hopefully, the dealer will get it resolved without too much delay.

Keep us posted,

I know how you feel, mine stalled the same day I drove off the lot.

My dealer tested my PCM and said that it was not responding with the correct codes back, whatever that means, and replaced it.

A good dealer will catch on to the problem right away, if not, try another one.

Just hang in there, at least there is a solution.

AKM, Glad to hear that your truck is fixed, I think we will see a "SSM" (Special Service Message) out to us dealer's in the very near future about this issue!

That's correct. It's a replacement PCM.

fine now

I have about 200 miles on the new PCM...zero problems. I am pretty certain this fixed it.

The only issue is if the new PCM's are also going to bad

Went in at 800 kms, up to 2200 kms and no problems.

I am also pretty sure the PCM fixed the stalling issue.

400 trouble-free miles so far.

My service advisor's name is Ken Ridalls. His number at Village Ford in Dearborn, MI is 313-565-6390. He's on top of this and should be able to help you.

Good luck.
