grills...I'm in a tizzy!
I have been driving Ford F150s for 20 years now. Get a new one every couple of years. The 2004 is by far the best. I only had a 2003 for a year when I saw the new style. It took me about 10 minutes to make a deal. I use it as my work truck, so I always get a basic truck in white. So I got the XL. Decided I wanted to spruce it up a little. Got a Rhino liner and hitch. Low profile diamond tool box. Bought a set of Lariat 18" wheels and tires (ebay). XLT grill (in my color) on ebay. Had the rear end lowered 2 " using a Ground Force kit. Now both front and rear openings are 35.5". Factory CD radio (from local sound shop). Had the windows tinted lightly. Put the silver turn signal bulbs in front. Lariat dash vent covers (chrome and silver replacing the black). NOW I want a full billit grill (not an overlay). I am REALLY in a dither on which way to go. Black or polished Carraige Works top and bottom using the white (XLT) or chrome (Lariat type) frame SUGGESTIONS PLEASE. Somebody push me!:help:

I think black would look super on your truck but your the one who has to live with it.
I would get a 12 pack off longnecks and a cigar and set in a lawn chair in the drive in front of your truck, as the day progreses you will see the grill in different light and should be able to make a decision. I thought you were the first tizzy on this forum so I did a search, found 9 others. Seriously either one will look nice. Enjoy the ride. :beers: |

I'd prefer a full grille also, as opposed to what I see. Haven't been able to find any though.
I'm a big fan of buying a basic truck and fixing it up the way you want. |
I used the the 12 pack decision making method and went with black! Then proceded to cover it up with a grill guard and lights

Frankly, I suggest you remove "tizzy" and "dither" from your vocabulary.

Good decision on the full grill. IMO the bolt-ons don't look as nice. I prefer the polished.

Thanks guys for the input. Anyone else's ideas will be appreciated. Oh, and frankly, franklee your suggestion has put me in a melodramatic quandry.

I like my black billet upper and lower grills on mine. Figured I'd post a pic since your truck would look very similar (white truck, black grills, signal bulbs) to mine.

Man! Both the chrome on chrome and the white with black are SHARP! I don't believe I can make a mistake going either way. The only other option is polished using the white frame. Thanks for taking the time to help.
