Attempted to put the McGaughy lowering kit on today. The front springs went on easy enough. The rear is another story, It appears that the exhaust will need to come off and the fuel tank needs to be dropped in order to get the leaf spring bolts out. the auto hobby shop on base closes at 6:00 so I ran out of time.

I'm looking for tips....there has to be another way. All help and comments are appreciated.

You're right. I just read an install article on a lift kit. It said Ford put the leaf spring bolts in from the outside. The article said the fuel tank had to be lowered slightly to access the nuts.
