HERE IS MY FX4 RIDING ON HUMMER2 TIRES. WITH A DAYSTAR LIFT
AND A.R.E. LID. THE TIRES ARE NEW CAR TAKE OFFS . I HAVE A FREIND THAT WORKS FOR THE HUMMER DEALER AND HE GETS SEVERAL SETS OF THESE A MONTH. I CAN GET THESE TIRES FOR $650.00 PER SET. THEY ARE 315/70/17. THESE TIRES FIT PERFECTLY WITH THE DATSTAR LIFT AND THEY DO NOT RUB. THESE TIRES ARE HUGE. BBALL99@TAMPABAY.RR.COM https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=4180 |
I have the daystar lift on mine and was looking at putting the bfg mt's or the toyo mt's on but I have a standard height garage and don't want to put them on and not be able to get in. Have you measured the height of your truck with the bigger tires on? If not could you take a quick measurement at the highest point and post back. The truck looks great, good mods.

Yikes - living dangerously! Looks good but I sense some serious rubbing off-road (if they don't pop off the skinny original rim first). Hopefully a gear swap is in the works.

that looks hot!
makes me wanna go with the fx4 screw  over the titan white looks good |
looks great.
mine has the daystar with bfg 305. I also have the bfg 315 like yours on my H2. I would have gone with the 315 size also for my truck except the raised white letters aren't available in 315. |
WHAT TIRE PRESSURE DO YOU USE IN YOUR H2 TIRES?
THE TIRE SHOP PUT 40 LBS. IN EACH TIRE AND I THINK IT'S ALITTLE HIGH. THE TIRES FIT AND RUN PERFECT ON THE FX4. AFTER GOING OFF ROAD AND OVER BUMPS AND RUTS I HAVE YET TO HAVE THEM RUB. |
What a great looking truck! Was the daystar kit hard to put on. A buddy said he would put one on mine for about $220.00 parts and labor. Is that a rip off. Also, do you notice a difference in the ride (comfort and stuff)? Is you back end sagging?
Thanks |

Thanks EDIT: I just did a Google search and found the price on-line varies from $125-175 for parts; still not a bad deal with installation included (figure an hour labor = $70) I'm looking into this as an inexpensive option for a decent lift and slightly larger tires... Anyone else do this lift (I counted only two trucks with pics)?? |
Check out my sig. Daystar with 35X12.5X17. A little rub and I had to cut some plastic wheel well but all is good. Especially considering I drive 99% pavement.
The 1% I'm off road the few times it does rub doesn't bother me. Plus, $220 is an awesome deal. I paid $120 for my kit but the couple hours I spent and the hassle with the springs and the 30mm nut I had to buy. I would have been happy to fork out $220. One of the other threads here guys were getting quotes for almost $500. One thing though, does that include the alignment? You'll DEFINITELY need an alignment. because you get a major positive camber. I noticed a huge difference in the alignment immediately. |

Hopefully a gear swap is in the works. BBALL99 I buy those same tires here for $75.00 each from the dealer for my compadres. I hope your friend dosen't lose to much sleep for sticking it to you for $650.00 a set, ouch. |
Hey do a search on Hummer tires. $600 is far more than a lot of us paid for ours from a hummer dealership. I posted a big article on them a while ago. Factory takeoffs from H2 have been averaging people on this board around $400 for the last year. Good info anyway.
