mxz600...gasoline at $3.00/liter? Surely you jest. That would be approx. US $7.60/ US gallon with the US/CDN and metric conversions (albeit I didn't check the exchange rate today).

there are 4 liters in a gallon, so if its 3 dollars canadian a liter, then it should be 12 dollars canadian a gallon, with the conversion thats about 8.70US/gallon.

with that being said, gas is cheaper in the us, if its 2$US a gallon, it should be .50$US a liter, that works out to .68$CAN a liter... which it isn't.

For some reason Gas in the US is cheaper, guess its due to the H2 hummers and military vehicles that get 3MPG. Ye use more so you get a discount it seems.

For all the crap we have been going through to help Iraq we should paying 1/2 of what we are paying per barrel. I guess it could be worse Europe's price for gas is alot higher. I heard they were in the $3 - $4 range per gallon.

I will walk to work before I sell my truck!!!!

The thing you have to remember is this a high demand market, with the US leading the world in gas consumption. Like any market it can only flex so much before it snaps. Gas prices will be at a breaking point this summer where consumers are more willing to raise a national revolt than pay ridiculous prices. Gas is in high demand and the US government (as much as you think their hands are tied) will have to act. America prides itself on trucks and big vehicles. Now are gas engines may be gone someday but not our big vehicles, in a way our cars symbolize who we are. The goverment WILL respond, in the mean time you just have to do what you can with what you have. Everyone in this forum knew what they were getting into. Gas hasnt inflated that much since we all purchased our trucks. If gas in your town went up 30 cents from the day you bought your truck it would cost you an additional $10.00 on a 35 gallon tank for about 450 miles assuming 14mpg. Now with all we do like mods I think we all could swing the 10 bucks for the best truck on the road. If I wanted mpg I would have bought a rice burner. Good luck with your rides and if gas gets to high we can always take to the streets.

I'll admit I have been a bit worried as I watch the price go up. But I'm like Red04FX4, I just remind myself that I wouldn't be getting much better gas mileage if I was still driving my 93 Ranger, and I'm enjoying my 04 F150 so much more.

In San Diego the cheapest 87 octane I found yesterday was $2.17 at an independent station in a bad neighborhood.

If I want Shell (or any name brand) at a good neighborhood expect $2.30 for 87!

$53 for a tank of gas, damn, plus my WRX Turbo requires premium at $2.50 per gallon, ouch!!!

STOP PRICE GOUGING CALIFORNIA OIL COMPANIES!!!!!!!

The price of gas isn't a concern for me. I work at home and even though I bought my F-150 in early October it still doesn't have 2,000 miles on it. Gas isn't a big budget item here.

I finally got to take it out on the freeway for a little trip and the mileage wasn't bad at all. It's back to slogging up our dirt road now and this tank is still averaging 16.8 according to the computer. I ran down to SeaTac and back, and still have about a half tank left over a week later. Ain't nuthin' wrong with that!

Actually we are paying close to $6.00/US Gallon.
That $2.14 Canadian per liter.
My 99 truck is still running on gasoline but most of the trucks here run on a propane system. Price for propane is $1.85/US Gallon.
US Gallon is 3.785412 litres.

Here is a propane system on the 2004 f150.
Cost of a system like that is $4100 including labor.
Fuel mileage is about 10.6 MPG

Unfortunately, trucks running on propane will give you problems at the end when trucks are getting older.

You still have it good in the US. I own a 2004 SCrew in the UK and I'm paying close to $7.00 USD per gallon, I also paid over $70,000 USD for my truck, this is my 5th f150 now and I converted my last two to propane systems but have always had reliability problems, I have been told that new multipoint propane systems are more reliable. I will wait and see, but I think that it is us Europeans that are the true truck fans who don't start talking about abandoning our much loved trucks every time we have a fuel rise, our garage lots would be over flowing. News came in on the tv last night that we can expect more increases as oil is at it's highest for 13 years and that out of every gallon of fuel thats sold here over 70% goes to the chancelor in duty, this is why most drive 1000cc to 1998cc cars over here. Thats enough of my ranting but just be thankfull your not in the UK, Tax and Duty sucks.

Just fitted magnaflow and airaid but have not had time to give it a good run yet, any thoughts on any other mods?
