Back to the @#%$^' Shop...

Talked with the Ford Rep last week. He mentioned that maybe it was time for me to go to a different dealership. I brought it in to my dealer this morning and they told me that they wouldn't be able to get to my truck until Wednesday. They also stated again that most truck will howl like that.

I told them that I don't care about most trucks, I care about MY truck and it didn't howl until they did the clutch pack. I got in my truck and left.

As the Frod Rep mentioned last week, maybe I should try another dealer. Well, I called another dealer's Service Mgr and they asked that I did NOT bring it to them because Rochester Ford had already started on the problem and they would not get into it because they did not want to get shafted on the warranty side becuase of a previously repaired item. If they make to many warranty claims on new vehicles they will get audited.

Sounds like a bunch of crap from everyone!!!

Signed,
DAZED and CONFUSED

Talk to your Ford rep again. It's completely understandable that someone would not want to get involved in someone else's can of worms, and most business' do like to get paid. Maybe your Ford rep can talk with the service dept and assure them they will get paid.

momalle1,

Did just that and the Ford Rep stated that it was to the discretion of the dealer.

This rep was not assigned to my dealer but he was assigned to the alternate dealer which I have called and they said they would not touch it.

I am taking my vehicle in Tuesday night to Rochester Ford. If they are not able to fix this problem I will be sending them and Ford Motor Company a letter stating that I am going to use the MN Lemon Law. This gives the dealer on final time to fix the problem.

We will see what happens from there.

I guess they can see on their computer that another dealer has been working on this problem, right? Otherwise they can't force you to tell them another dealer has been working on it for that problem.

Yellow,

How many times has it been in the shop for the same issue (unresolved)?

I havent been on here much lately, so I dont know the current troubles you are having lately Yellow. But it sounds to me that if they replaced the clutch pack in the rear end then they probably made a mistake when they put the rear-end back together.

A howling noise is generally caused by improper gear mesh, it will destroy your rearend if it is not taken care of very soon. It's their fault and they need to fix it and get it done right. Sorry to hear that you are having such troubles with dealer service.

Wow, that really sucks. I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I really can't believe that such poor dealerships still exist. We have some taht are better than others in north-eastern Massachusetts, but there is always somewhere else to go. It's really too bad that poor service is tainting your experience, you seem to really like your truck.

jamzwayne,

Vehicle will be headed into the shop on Wednesday for the third attempt in 3 weeks. (Keep in mind if they can fix it and get it out in one day, that will be a total of 7 days in the shop in 3 weeks)

Ok, then from what I understand, the vechicle itself can be replaced. Is that correct?

I looked up the Minnesota Lemon Law on google.
