Are you calculating that yourself or relying on the electronic meter in the truck to do it? I'm curious to see what people are coming up with checking it manually.

I'm doing it manually. I don't think the FX4's give you a mpg meter like the Lariat has.

I track my mileage using Ownersite.com :

Total Used:259.609 Gallons
Total Cost: $ 432.25
YTD Cost: $ 220.00
Avg Cost Per Gallon: $ 1.53
Avg Usage: 14.19 MPG
Total Fillups: 14 (100.0% )

My best tank mpg avg. was: 15.84 mpg (mostly highway).
My worst tank mpg avg. was 12.35 mpg.

With only two tanks run through my 4x2 XLT regular cab, I've gotten 16.6 and 16.0 so far. I know it's really too early to start checking, but it looks like I'm off to a good start. I've got the 5.4L with the 3.55LS.

I must drive like an a$$hole. I only get about 11 or 12 mpg. I get about 15 if it's all highway.

I'm getting just over 13 in city driving. My last tank was mostly freeway driving, but also had a bumper to bumper drive up a mountain to 8000 ft. I was pretty happy, got 16.6 mpg on that tank. Good thing since gas is now $2.22/gal here

I don't pay any attention to the display mpg. I only check my mileage once in awhile, doing it with a simple calculation of miles divided by gallons, rounding off to tenths and the nearest mile.

I get pretty consistently just under 15 mpg.

This is a Lariat Screw 4x4.

Most of my mileage is highway, cruising steady 75 to 80 mph.

Mid-grade 88 octane gas.

Mountainous, high-elevation country in northern New Mexico.

I get just under 16 on the highway with the reformulated gas you get around the big city and just over 17 with the good stuff you get away from the city.

XLT SCab 4X4
5.4L .355 LS

When I took a 480 mile road trip I got 17.3 mpg averaging 72 mph. That was when I had 2000 miles on the truck. I get about what the window sticker said.

Geesh i haven't gone through a tank yet but I can tell im using some fuel compared to my 02 focus(highly recommend it for travel to work save you're truck) I toped it off after it starting moving off full cause I figured the dealership didn't top it off all the way. I have the 36 gallon tank and its at 3/4 after 120 miles give or take I hope it goes further that 480 miles at that rate.

36 gallon tank 30 gallons(5 spare low fuel alarm?)x15mpg=450 miles. How much can u guyz cram into the tank after the fuel alarm comes on?

My gas gauge comes off of full pretty quik and gradually goes down slower as it gets lower. Every other vehicle I've had was just the opposite.
