I am interested in getting a spray on boxliner for the truck. Since this is my first truck, I want to know who has or has had one in the past. Please list what kind, eg: Rhino Lining, Armorthane, etc and how much it cost you so I can compare the price with my local dealer.

i have line-x and i love it. i beleive line x is the best there is right now. It looks good and protects real well. My friend has A Rhino liner and it doesnt look as nice and looks much thinner.

 

If you do a search on liners I think you will find more info on that subject in this fourm than may exist elsewhere on the web. If you add up what people on this board have purshased then LineX is probably the winner.

 

i recently got a rhino lining in my truck. so far i like it ive hauled around 800 lbs of hardi-plank and the lining held very well and is scratch free. it was i belive 425.00 installed it took about 6 hours till i could pick it up.

 

Thanks for the replies, I haven't heard of Line-X so I will do some research to see if there is a dealer near me. Keep the suggestions coming!

I'm from Ontario... I just phoned my local LineX dealer today...he said $480 +150 for optional coloured spray... 6.5' box quoted

I see the US guys are paying in the 400$ area...so I don't think $480 CAD is too bad.

 

I've had the line-x liner for about 3 months now and I love it. It still looks brand new even after carrying numerous loads. I paid $390 including tax and the whold job took less than 2 hours.

Get with your dealer and see who does it for them and get a referral. My Line-X store normally charges $400, but they do all of my dealers spraying so I got $55 off. It took about 2 hours from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. I got to watch the whole process. Very clean and simple.

 

I had Line-X sprayed in. Took a whole day, $379.

Very happy with it. Didn't like the huge, yellow sticker they slaped on my back window. Didn't like the big Line-X plaque glued in the bed. I took both off. Luckily it was cold enough that neither had enough time to set up.

Keep in mind things won't slide around back there. I had a weight bench I could barely slide out by myself. I almost had to unpack it right there in the bed.

Line-X installed for $315. They let me watch the whole process and it is very well done. Like someone already said, do a search of this forum and you will find plenty to read about. Bottom line is that Line-X and Diamondliner are the best, but the other brands are not bad at all.

When my truck arrives, I plan on getting line-x sprayed in. I live in the Boston area, so there are lots of linex shops around. There was a noticable difference between several of them. Make sure you check with a few to see who give the best price. I did not try to play the game.... well linex of RI says this much, will you match, but they may go for that too.

Lastly, around here if you get referred by someone who has line-x already, you can get some $$$ off the price... it is like $25, but hey that'll buy a half tank of gas...
