Tire rub when turning?

I have a 04 Scab with 3k miles and have noticed a rubbing sound in the front tires ( more so on the drivers side) when turning.
I have done nothing to the truck as far as mods and never hit anything with the front end. I am just wondering if anybody else is having the same problem? It has only done this for about a week now and I have yet to find out where exactly the rubbing
is occuring on the truck, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is this almost like a small "hissing" sound when your wheel is at full lock and turning? A lot of people mistake the power-steering "maxing out" for a rubbing noise.

Yes, and if it is the power steering, I think it is crying "let off a little"

I think the system is under extreme pressure when you are at full lock and pressing for more.

If the sound exist when stopped but have the wheel turned, then it is not a tire.

One way to find out is to turn the wheel all the way while the tires are not rolling and see if you still here it.

Nope not the power steering pump. I dont turn the wheels all the way until it stops. This is a tire rub almost sounds like it is hitting
the fender well but I cant see any marks in the well where it would be hitting. Guess I will have to let it get dirty and see if there are any marks from the tire rubbing.

Ah, just checking - because originally I got the "hissing" from my old Ranger and thought it was rubbing but it was truly the power steering.

Try chalking your tires and then running, a nice white chalk makes it easy to see on the black underbody where/if anything is rubbing.
