If you hook up the DVD player trough FM modulation, does the remote control for the DVD still work the radio.

I am quit sure (99%) that it won't work the radio unless you have the CAN buss connection. that is the tie from the DVD to control the radio. the remote is IR controlling the DVD , which in turn will control the radio.

did you get one installed, or considering???

 

Dying to get one but am willing to wait to get it through the can buss.
I have asked you a couple of questions before.

 

the latest is the wire kit will be available model year 05 ( August 2004).

trust me that forwarding to our team comments like yours and others wanting the dvd and other accessories has stepped up our effort to get the change implemented at ford. but it looks like model year change over is the plan to date.........
