Why didn't Ford hit a homerun with F150 Screw
Why couldn't Ford make the NEW 04 Screw comfortable in terms of the back seat. I sat in one last week, and it felt stiff as a board/straight up in the back seat. There is no seat angle. Why could they not get this right?
I love Ford, drive a Ford now, but I need a SCREW or something with a back seat for family. The 04 Screw does not seem to cut it in the back seat, which is not going to cut it for people in my situation, and I believe there a lot of us out there.
Hence, the Nissan claim of a rear seat setback angle, although I have not sat in one yet. I have reservations about leaving Ford, but I need the comfort of a back seat and I want a Truck. I would not buy the 7/8 Tundra, but I did sit in the Tundra Double Cab, they got the rear seat right. Too bad Ford didn't.
The F150 could have hit a home run with a nice back seat. You would think the engineers would have figured that out.

I too first wanted a Screw. However, the diff between Screw and Scab is 6" of depth and how the doors open. Seriously. I like the Scab better for me and find that the doors open very W I D E for loading our baby. Perhaps its worth another look.

There is plenty of room while being comfortable. Leg room is where the comfort is at in a truck's backseat. My boy has never complained about the seat comfort and seeing that he's 4 that's a huge accomplishment. 4 yr olds seem to notice everything and tell you when they don't like it. I've also been on a fairly long trip (2 hours) with backseat passengers and they loved it. Just my 2 cents.

I too found the back seat to be straight and stiff. I will go back and sit in an F150 again. I hope there is some rear seat setback. The Truck would be great, if the rear seat was comfortable for trips. It will work for small kids, but not bigger kids or adults, if it has not rear seat setback.

You could always get an Excursion or a Navigator, not sure why everyone thinks these TRUCKS are suppose to be like Cadillacs ? Just a sign of the times I guess

I've got to agree about the seats
I love my new '04 standard cab STX. The only real complaint I have is that the seats are really uncomfortable. Especially, after returing from a trip of any length.

I couldn't tell any real difference between the SCAB rear seating and SCREW rear seating, so I opted for the SCAB. Haven't sat in either for any length of time however. But arent the seats exactly the same?

Can someone confirm whether the SuperCrew and Supercab have different seat angles? That would surprise me if the Crew had less seat angle than the SuperCab.
