'03 is child's play compared to the '04
 

While my '04 FX4 Screw is getting the bumper re-painted, I was given a loaner of an '03 FX4 Screw. And let me tell you, there is no comparison between these trucks. The '04 is 100 times better. In the '03 I feel like I'm still driving my '98 Explorer again. The '04 has better looks, more room, better body and it's less boring...I am so glad that I chose to wait for the '04 instead of jumping the gun on the '03 when I had the chance.

Not only looks, but I can feel the difference in truck weight when I drive. I feel safer in the '04...and cooler!

Yeah, same here. I went down to a dealer and decided to test drive both in order to do a comparison...and LMTY there wasn't much to compare:D First thing I noticed was engine and road noise, it was loud inside the cabin of the 03 compared to the 04. Also, overall desing of interior and exterior...felt boring inside the 03 to be honest and the exterior, well, I don't think I have to comment there.:thumbsup:

Thanks for the info Guigster.. Im starting to get my excitement back. Not sure if you seen my post, but my truck had finally arrived at the rail yard in Jersey a few days ago. Now I just have to wait for them to unload it and get it to my dealer in Connecticut. Guess I should be driving it by thanksgiving. Im glad to hear everyone is happy they waited. As you know the wait is the worst thing to go thru. Post some pic's when you get a chance, I would love to see your truck.

Another thing that is a huge difference is the space provided to get inside the truck. On the '03 I have to cruch and contort my body, where as with the '04 I can just hoist myself in.

I plan to take some pics this weekend. It's supposed to be a nice 60 something degrees tomorrow. I get her back from the dealer today. I'll wash her and photograph her tomorrow. Pics to be posted sometime next week. Glad to hear you're finally getting some wheels. It must be agonizing.
