and how does that differ than anyone elses truck 4wd system. The Chevy is not full time 4wd except the Denali. Their autotrac just auto senses wheel slip and puts in 4wd automatically. The Dodge...well...we wont even go there.
The 16 mpg figure pretty much agrees with what I'm seeing with mine (4x4 Lariat SuperCrew) when I'm on level terrain, but not on the highway. I average 11.5 right now, but that's with a lot of short trips over hilly terrain. The last half mile to my house is a 500' climb over a muddy road with loads of ruts. Dragging 3 tons up the hill kills the average mileage, but when I test it in 'normal' driving I see about 15.5 mpg.
