BIGMACFX4 Shipped Yet?

BIGMACFX4.

Could you check and see if this hit the truck or train yet? I applied for the AHQA rebate, but have to wait until Nov 14th to utilize it (30 days). If the truck shows up next week I my just be out another $500 cause I don't think I will be able to wait!

VIN 1FTPW14564KB44252

Depending on how much you like your dealer and what you've already said to them, you might consider telling them you've been a member over a year, the card simply shows the expiration date, not the enroll date. From the card there is no way to tell if you've been a member for 2 weeks, or a year and 2 weeks.

Now Ford rebate fullfillment may check with the AQHA, so you could loose out, I don't know exactly how factory rebates work.

Thanks for the information.
I've seen some of the vin checks you've posted with a production date of 10/20 and they already have a gate release date. What sort of things can delay the gate release as it looks like mine has been produced nearly 2 years ago.
Thanks again!
Vince

Can't Afford To Lose Another Dealer

Just a followup on the 30 day wait. I "went out of town" because my local dealer offered me such a crappy deal on a 2003 ($30,500 on a FX4Scab, 5.4, Moonroof and that's it!), so now I'll have to drive and wait for service instead of just "drop it off". I don't want the new dealership to get "stuck" with the $500 if I'm not up front with the timing on my membership. Messing up that working relationship will just make my service harder to get.

You can take your vehicle to get service at any dealership. Even if you didn't buy there. When I was shopping for my truck I had one dealer try to tell me his service department was better than another dealers. I just looked at him and said "I'm not shopping for service, I'm shopping for a truck. I can bring my truck to you for service even if I buy it at the other place." He didn't have much to say to that.

Honestly, I can understand a dealer that treats you poorly trying to make a sale doesn't really inspire you to want to take the vehicle there for service. But I still think it is a mistaken to just assume that the best place to take it for service is the dealer you bought it from.

Just thought I'd add my 2cents...you are absolutely right, you can take it to any dealer to get it worked on. But heres the problem,,LOYALTY..if you buy from one dealer and have it serviced at another, you will be put at the bottom of the list for service, which is not a good feeling. I am in the service business and I take care of the guys who buy from me. If someone goes to a different dealership and buys a boat ( im in the marine business) to save a few bucks but then expects me to work on it with priority..hes sadly mistaken. I will go out of the way to take care of a guy who buys from me( work overtime or weekends if need be) the guy who bought it elsewhere will not get this service.I will service him ,but like I said not with priority. Sorry, thats just how it goes. If the service sucks where you buy your truck..well thats a different story and even though you say your not buying "service" ,,in the long run you are. Just something to think about..is saving $500 really worth wondering how long its gonna take to get your truck fixed as compared to buying and servicing at the same dealership with priority..like in a previous thread I think it was RED04, he got a rental car without even asking. Thats worth it to me...

That's a pretty good way to lose customers. You don't know if I bought the boat somewhere else because of price or simply because I moved and you're closer.

I had a vehicle I brought with me when I moved from out of state and got crappy service from the dealer that was nearest me. Let's just say I quit going there and started dealing with someone who was further away from me.

If I saw a dealership treat someone like red04 saw and then treat me differently, I'd run not walk to a different dealership. Plus you have no idea why the different levels of service.

Loyalty is earned, not granted on the basis of where I happened to buy the vehicle. If you earn my loyalty you'll get me in all the time.
