Talking Competitors Incentives on 04's !

I was just on the Canadian Dodge Site and it seems that Dodge is offering 0% on there 2004's. Thats Crazy, Ford is gunna get killed, once the 'gotta have' people are gone, ford will have to match up. Hurry up I say.

Don't know what GMC is offering now, better than ford no doubt, will have to check i guess.....

Sounds like the other guys are getting rattled by the popularity of the new F150 and trying to play a little "catch up."

Ford dropped their lease rates 2 percentage pts and widened their $1000 loyalty rebate to more buyers and yes the silverado is a 2004 model with $2500 rebate and 2 package deals for a total of $4500... Ford will have to give in soon. Dealers lots are filling up now.

Ford is going to have to do something or they are going to get KILLED big time.

Two people I know have gone and bought GM’s instead of Ford because of PRICE. One guy’s dad went and looked at a new 04 Ford, really wanted a Ford but said he couldn’t believe they wanted like $25k for an XL bottom of the line model. I have seen the XL’s or what ever the bottom of the line is for about $23k and they look like CRAP, cheap looking interior, just a BIG loser.

My own personal opinion is if Ford doesn’t start offering some serious programs they are not going to be moving many trucks at all. I have yet to see ONE new F150 driving around here and we have one of the biggest dealers around that has approx. 50 - 70 or more on their lot and they don’t seem to be moving anywhere…

They should stop gouging their customers to make up for their own mistakes and losing profits. Once they treat their customers right, then they may start making some good profits again…

Only time will tell.

yes, i too noticed that alot of trucks are sitting on the lots, around me there are a few dealerships with like 4 or 5 on the lot, and they only move when people test drive them, but with 5.8% for 60 months, on 45000CAN add 15% RIPOFF taxes and about 13000 in interest over the term and your paying out about 65000 dollars!!!!!!!!! HOLY SHYT MAN, unless you can go in and wack down cash or write it off through a business, than your Crazy to finance those monsters.

Guys, I don't think you understand, the F150 is selling like crazy! They haven't posted their October numbers yet (at least I haven't seen them) but September was a record year. It sounds like October will be as well.

04 F150 BOOSTS FORD'S SEPT SALES
September sales for Ford's F-Series truck were the highest in its 55-year history and 31 percent higher than a year ago. Ford dealers sold 81,782 F-Series trucks, eclipsing the previous September record of 74,787 set in 2001. In addition, it was the highest F-Series sales for any month since December 2001. Ford dealers reported strong showroom traffic in September coinciding with the introduction of the all-new F-150 model. "The new F-150 is doing exactly what we expected our clean-up hitter to do - drive in truck buyers to Ford dealer showrooms," said Jim O'Connor, Ford group vice president, North America Marketing, Sales and Service. "We're seeing a 'halo' effect from the showroom traffic generated by the F-150 that puts Ford in a position of strength no one else can match." However Ford's year-to-date, the company's sales were 2.65 million, down 4 percent compared with the same period a year ago. Sales of trucks were 1.7 million, up 0.4 percent, while car sales were 913,991, down 12 percent.

The other manufacturers are discounting because their sales are down. I still don't see Ford doing any incentives anytime soon. They've got the "Heritage" model to wheel and deal on.

How do we know they aren't talking about the 03 models with $10,000 off MSRP. (Skyline Ford, a few months back)? I know this is a F-150 Forum, but I rather get an Escalade EXT if I'm spending this much, I want to get something for Chirstmas, but I can't decide weather an Expedition, F-150, or an Escalade EXT (It's a surprise for the wife, don't tell.)

Here is San Diego, there are 15 Ford dealers in the county, and they are all selling 04' F150's at a discount. About $3,500 off MSRP on XLT and $5,500 on FX4/Lariats.

Don't let Ford's recently "record breaking" F150 sales fool you. Many of those sales are leftover 03' F150's and 04' Heritage F150's (Carry over 03') going at $8000 off MSRP!

And due to the effects on the local economy here in San Diego because of the ongoing firestorm (1000+ homes destroyed @ $420,000 Median price), the prices here will probably drop even further on the new 04' F150s.
