That's a pic of the overly model, note the blue oval poking through and the black plastic between grill and chrome surround.
This is the one I ordered, it's a replacement, advertized as no cut, I'm guessing that the black plastic and honeycomb are one part that is removable (see previous pic)

The two pictured above are CarraigeWorks Inc.

I'm getting the 42101 and 42122 (BumperGrill) polished. A guy on ebay sells these pretty cheap ($150 for the upper, email him for price on lower). Even though he advertises the 42101 he can set you up with any of them. socalmotorsports is the guy's name on ebay, looks like his most recent auction for the billet grill has ended, i'm sure he'll post again.

leeperkins,

I have the T-rex billet on mine. I just got in my replacement Trenz billets. I ordered them through www.stillen.com talked to a guy named Brian. I am installing them Monday. I will post pix as soon as I can.

has anyone seen a replacement billet grille (not a bolt on, but complete replacement for the honeycomb) that has the Ford logo? I like the billet grilles I've seen but I want to keep the logo on the front. the only way I've seen to do that is to leave the honeycomb on and cut a hole in the billet to see the logo behind the billet. that looks ghetto and lame, so I won't be doing that.

i thought billet was a polised aluminum? what would be the point in making it black after you spend all the time getting a good finish?

This site has 2004 F150 Billets in Polished, Brushed or Black. Pictures for all except the Black billet grill.

Correct on the material being aluminum (milled from a billet), but the finish can be; brushed, polished, painted or even anodized -- you just see a lot more of the polished stuff. Personally, I think a black billet grill might be pretty cool looking on, say, a Shadow Grey FX4.
