Disappointing Paint Job on Blazing Yellow SCrew

At the bottom of the drivers side door edge where the Dark Shadow Grey is (2 Tone area) It is showing metal.

Also, on both corners of the hood I am seeing metal.

I'll post a couple of pics in a few. It's gettin kinda dark, so I don't know how thew flash will affect the pic.

Stay tuned......

I have never trusted dealer paint jobs to match factory. Fading is what always seems to occur after a few years. perhaps I am wrong, I certainly hope so in this case.

Overall its got to SUCK.

I'm with BrewMaster...I would be far from pleased. I'll be curious to hear what your dealer has to say about it. And, more to the point, what gets done about it.

Disappointing to say the least. I'm sure they'll attempt to make it right.

It's about time for them to get their paint process right. Orange peel, missed paint, paint bubbles, paint cracks... Come on Ford... get it right guys.

I am not sure I would go strait to the dealer about this. I think I'd call FORD direct and go above the dealer from the get go. Then work the process backwards.

Nasty

That would be hard to accept in a truck that costs this much. I would really want to have it done right and not fixed by the dealers paint shop. Luckily one of my best friends runs an auto body shop. I am going to make him go along when I pick up mine to make sure I don't miss anything. Hope this turns out O.K. for you.

Nope! That's = That is.... Say it outloud, it makes sense.

Although, the "don't" in my post may be a problem for the English scholars.

Pardon me, I'm working on my English skills...I'm sure Ford will correct your problem and all will be good. At least your's came from the factory and wasn't keyed by some punk(s) like Bigsherm's

Ha, not yet anyway....

I think we all fear, "THE KEY", on a daily basis

I took the truck to the dealer today, they didn't seem to impressed by the bare metal showing. "Call our body shop on Monday so they can touch it up" is the response I got.

I have to keep reminding myself to stay calm..... The Steam is starting to build under my lid, if you know what I mean.
