K & N Air Filters

Has anyone tried replacing the stock air filter with the K & N E-9045 to see if it improves acceleration / performance? I have heard good things about these filters in the past.

I checked too, it only lists filters for the 2004 Heritage (old body style), the 04 Lightning (old body style) and the 04 Harley Davidson (F250), and the other F-250's and F-350's. Bummer.

i'm sorry, i don't care what they say on that website, K&N told me at the Off-Road Expo that they will not have filters or FIPKs out for the new F-150 until January at the earliest. call them yourself if you don't believe me.

redstorm,

i am always up for being wrong. if you have the product in hand, call K&N on Monday and ask them if the part number you have goes in your vehicle. Get the person's name on the phone. If they say it works then I would put it in and come back here and tell me I am a stupid SOB that should shut his mouth. If they say no go, then return it.

Well, even if they say the filter fits in 04 F150 like their web says, I do not have the truck yet...

Anyway i will scheck on that and will get his name as well. I have a feeling that you are right and I have to return it....

Again, thanks for the heads up.

Here is the link that I received from K&N re: air filter request. I filled out the form, and will be notified when a product is available. I'm not sure if it helps push things along, but at least I'll be e-mailed when a filter is available!

How good does the Flowmaster exhaust sound?
What about the new intake?
Did you have any trouble installing either one? Even since they arent really configured for the 2004 yet.

Thanks! and the trucks looking pretty crazy!! great mods!

I talked to the guy name Dan @ styling concepts and he said that my E0945 KN filter fits on 2004 - F150 screw 5.4L. He also said they got the infomation out of K&N website too...

What is your take?? Should I call K&N as well. I think I am going to do that.

Anyway, today is my 8th weeks from my order for FX4 since August. They still do not have a VIN # yet. Sounds like I have to wait 12 weeks or so total..... at the earliest.

Have a good day.
