This "Tan" trim business

You know I hadn't paid much attention to the "Tan" trim issue until I saw all you guys talking about having black instead.

I have the Toreador red/Arizona with tan interior.

But it really isn't tan at all is it !?

It doesn't bother me because I like light interiors but I can understand why people who want a working truck would prefer a darker colour.

The strange thing is that the interior is exactly the same as the interior of my new Volvo Estate Car (Station wagon) back home in the UK.

Of course Volvo being now part of Ford I suspect the suppliers are one and the same.

As I recollect the Volvo is described as parchment....but "Tan" it ain't !!!

Don't get me wrong, I think the tan is awesome looking interior. However, I have two kids, a dog, and I wear combat boots to work every day (rough on tan door panels). I though about it a lot before I changed to black but I just have to look at the tan interior on my Mondeo now to know the black is better for me. BTW, what part of the UK are you from? I've lived here a total of about five years; early 90s at Upper Heyford near Oxford and now at Lakenheath. Nice place and lots to see and do but I miss the U.S. too.

Hi

I live over in Staffordshire near the welsh borders (When not in Tx) but know all your bases pretty well.
I grew up in East Anglia near Wethersfield, but in my flying days had cause to request transit over most of your bases and of course the Upper Heyford Control Zone !

Take care

Cheers
