Owner's first impression: 2004 FX4 SC
 

I picked up my 2004 FX4 silver supercab last Friday and must say after driving it over the weekend I am still impressed with the many improvements over my '97 Lariat supercab. I purchased the 3.73 limited slip, 18" wheels, moon roof, tow package, and nerf bars. My '97 had a cat-back, new intake, and a Superchip's reprogram for about 300 hp. Although I've heard comments that the 2004 is slow, my new ride is just as quick (might be the 3.73) but absolutely seamless in acceleration and shifting even though the 2004 is heavier. As many have mentioned, it rides ass-end high but will probably level when I tow my boat. Drove other FX4's which were a little sluggish- would highly recommend the 3.73. I'm not sure I like the side view of the 2004- that's a lot of bare body panels but I figure a few door dings, a little mud... will break up the profile. The truck was a big hit in the company parking lot!
