GM's 05 Suburavalanchelade sighted!

General Motors announces Suburbavalanchelade 9/2/03 News Net

Today the first spy shots are posted of the 2005 Suburbavalanchelade, General Motors response to Ford's stunning 2004 F150 line of trucks.

With retro styling, customers will love the Suburban theme, while having the utility of the Avalance and a Subaru Brat. It has the sheer size of an Escalade, or H2, for no good reason other than - it's bigger than the Ford.

Utilizing the design team from the Pontiac Aztek and the engineers from Cadillac's V8/6/4 Seville GM has a number of design features they are proud of. The flexible chassis makes the driver feel as though he is in a hammock. This provides reassurring handling - as the vehicle must first take a set before leaning out of a turn.

Customers miss the ride, economy and responsiveness of a Biscayne using a 6 cylinder powerplant. Not everyone wants the engineering, handling, efficiency, power and looks of an F150, remarked GM's President.

GM is down 12% in mid day trading.

Just to make sure there isnt any confusion...GM never made that. Its a custom deal. This one looks to be homemade. Yikes!

There is a shop somewhere in SW Minnesota that stretches trucks, they can make just about any size you want...within reason of course. They stretched an H-1 Hummer and turned it into a limo.

Those pics make me wish though that I had my digital with me the other day. I was in town and saw the best Red Green special I have ever seen. Picture an early 80's Ford van. The body behind the front seats had been torched out leaving a jagged edge about 12 inches above the floor of the van. A couple pieces of plywood were cut to fit to make the "rear" of the cab, and he had plywood on the floor to make a "truck bed." To top it off the rear plywood section was sealed off with duct tape. It even had a plexiglass window in back...attached with duct tape. And of course it had the el cheapo trailer taillights attached to the rear bumper...with what else, duct tape!

Maybe Ford's 2005 Avalanche competitor???

Red Green: If the women dont find you handsome...they should at least find you handy. :D

I hope someone got fired over that car!

I've seen a lot of ugly things in my life. But god.. that just tops it all.

Its so bad I can't even laugh at it.
