Dark Shadow Grey everywhere.....

Just wondering if this is a local thing?
I have been to 3 local lots that have 04s, between the 3 they have 5 trucks, 3 of them(1 at each dealer) are Dark Shadow Grey FX4 SuperCabs. I got to looking at about 5 other local dealers and they each had a DK SHDW Grey FX4. I have always liked the color but wouldnt want all my neighbors to have the same truck.
Seems it has been the color of choice to get the ball rolling on the 04s.

Been to several dealers in my area and haven't seen any FX4. I have an FX4 ordered but all I see are XLT and Lariat. How about taking some pictures of those FX4 and sharing them with us..Thanks

Yes. DSGM is the new Silver. I may have to rethink my color choice.

I finally saw and drove an '04 this morning. Dark Shadow Grey FX4 in a Scab with the 18" wheels and 3.55 gears.

This truck is huge! Especially from the back. The tailgate looks like a billboard, but I can lift it with one finger. I don't think that the blue oval in the middle is too big, but I would put it at the bottom corner like my '02.

The dash is quite flashy, maybe too flashy for my taste. The gauges are laid out nicely, but they still don't have numbers on them.

The front seats are so thick, that it makes the back seat smaller than the old style. I can fit in the back seat of my '02 with the front adjusted for me. In the '04 my knees were pushing into the seat.

The grill is attached to the hood like a dodge which will make it very easy to clean the bug guts out of the radiator and tranny cooler. I couldn't find a power steering cooler though.

The motor and transmission seemed to work well together. I didn't notice a neck-snapping increase in power from the old 5.4, but the truck pulled steady all the way through the broad, flat torque band. The shift was smooth yet positive without falling on it's face.

Last year the '03's had a $3000 rebate from the start of the model year, I'm not buying an '04 until I see similar incentives.
