From Ford, It's Official ... 2004 F150 Pricing!
|
If the base price on a 2004 XLT SCAB with a 145" wheelbase is only $585 more and it includes automatic transmission and the 5.4 litre engine.... then isn't it actually a price decrease? Or whas the 2003 price listed actually bumped up including the $1000 transmission and $800 engine? I could go look but I gotta actually work now.
|
So with this statement:
2004 F-150 lineup will range from $19,125 to $35,570, plus destination and delivery charges of $795 Does that mean the top of the line Lariat will cost me $36,365 MSRP? And I mean everything, sunroof, step bars, heated seats, etc. Thanks, David |
David:
From what I understand, these numbers usually represent base MSRP. So what you are looking at would be the MSRP for a base 4x4 Lariat with standard features, not options. |
According to the second link.... oooops

Price of Loaded out Lariat
Well it appears the truck I ordered over a month ago is going to cost a sticker price of $40,340.00.....
This is a Lariat 4 X 4 loaded, including moonroof, heated seats, power rear window, etc.... Geez for $40k I would pay another $1k or so for a cool Navigational system......:) Can't wait to get behind the wheel of this one! freddy:rocker: |

No I didn't...
We don't have kids, and I think by getting the power moonroof, that removes the option of the overhead rack system. freddy |
Indeed... I'm gonna order the DVD, for sure. Anyone know the order code for it?

David,
Your welcome. I like reading this particular forum. It's great getting information before the dealer...LOL Have A Great Day Everyone!  freddy |
Click on the second link, goto the bottom of the web page. There is an "Axle Ratio Upgrade" option for all of the models. I do not see this in the order guide. What is it exactly?
Can you get 4.10s in the FX4? Thanks, Frank T. Lee |
I added up the sticker price on a truck similar to the truck I just bought and it is actually lower by $200. Mainly, my 03 has FX4 package which is not availible with the 04 Lariat which is fine with me. That includes the $160 skid plates, too!
If I were to order a new 04, I'd get the 6-disc in dash changer, the Delux heated seats, and Reverse sensing system totalling about $1000 more. I wonder if A-plan prices will be higher since they are costing Ford a lot more than $500 to build? Still, $3500 in rebates compared to little if any at launch for the 04. I don't see the standard tires for 4x4 Lariats, though. Possibly these? P275/65Rx18 OWL All-Terrain (FX4) |
One thing to not forgot with everybody trying to figure up hpw much their truck is going to be.
Most of the times Ford will "package" together several options and price it less then the individual would have been. |
David your correct.
New vehicles package groups, which give you a lot more for less $...... Maybe I can get my new Supercrew drug through the garden for under $40k. This thought makes freddy:banana: freddy |

Geez, What was I thinking, I too am buying a new one for X plan.
A friend of mine works for Ford (Indy) and he has given me his info for this program. I think at this point they are offering friends and family members alike this program. Anyone else have an opinion on this. Thanks David, my truck (actually wife's) just got cheaper. freddy |

Ford has changed the way they calculate X-Plan pricing. You now get the vehicle for just about invoice. MAYBE $100 -> $200 less.
P.S. I get A-Plan, and I cannot even get close to a Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 Loaded for $32,000.00. Frank |
If I'm correctly informed.... the A-Plan (10-15% below MSRP) is used for family members. The X-Plan is 4% + $150 above the A-Plan price. Both are listed directly on the invoice and are pretty nice discounts, especially considering there's no haggling.

wingn8ive,
It used to be that way but, it has changed in the past year. On my wife's '02 Taurus, X-Plan was $4.00 above the invoice price. Since the dealer I deal with will give me invoice on anything, I took the invoice price and saved the PIN number. Frank |
P.S. Does anyone know what the $50.00 "Axle Ratio Upgrade" option is?

Thanks, Frank.... it's interesting. I guess I'll find out when I order mine tonight, or maybe when I receive it. I'll be using the A-Plan, so hopefully the savings will be very nice.....
AXLE RATIO UPGRADE: for example, the Lariat 4x2 comes with 3.55 non-limited slip... to change it to 3.55 limited slip, it's $285. The $50 upgrade would happen if you increased to 3.73 ratio. |
Originally posted by david.chaney That sucks! What's the point of X-Plan then? I can walk in off the street (sans X-Plan) and get the truck for 100 under invoice. A-plan is 3.5-5.5% under invoice prices that I have calculated on KBB for every vehicle I have researched/bought. X-plan has always been around invoice. |
I can get x-plan because of a friend, but it really is not even worth the hassle for me. My dealer will sell any vehicle to me for invoice, he even had the 03 cobra's for invoice when they first came out. But I guess there are dealers that want to soak people and haggle, etc. Even with the 04 150 being a brand new model, it's not like it is a limited production vehicle, aren't they slated to produce like 800k this year?
|
Wow! I can get a reg cab FX4 Flareside 4X4 with the 3V 5.4L for $30,535??? That's not too shabby...
