In todays regional meeting the plans for the 2004 F-150 were discussed. All SuperCrews will be the new style truck. However, the Supercabs and Regular cabs will be available in the New style and the "Classic" style (same as 2003). Norfolk and KC will be building the New style and Ontario truck will continue to build the current body style F-150. So this is how the V-6 and 5 speed is going to be available to the "price objective" crowd. We were told to plan on the Classic style to have rebates and incentives, but the New style probably will be a substancial price walk from the Classic.

We were also told that a new plant will open in May of 04 and after this the Ontario truck plant will close and all that will be available is new style trucks (I assume for 05 model year)

 

Sounds kind of like how they rolled out the present redesign in 1996...old body style and new body style side-by-side on dealership lots for an extended period of time...
