Unhappy Sporty Flareside ?

IMO, It doesn't look as good as the current flareside.
I will go back to Styleside on the new truck.

I agree. Going back to the styleside, too. Wait, I have never had a styleside! But, I will by Sept.!

I agree on the Flareside. Not very impressed. I will be getting a SuperCrew in '05, though so it does not matter that much anymore.

I guess I am the only one who likes the new flareside.
I think Ford kicked some major A$$ with the new body style and the new flareside.

yup, they kinda regressed witht he flareside styling. before the current gen it was a square little bed with bolted on fender flares. the next gen looks the same way, a square little bed with bolted on round and tiny fender flares
my favorite will always be the current gen flaresides cuz they have so much character and flow with the truck and taper off at the back. they fit on the truck, and don't look just like a bolted on afterthought

Harley 356,

You hit it on the head, the new flares look like a bit of an afterthought....... and last night when I was washing my L and then running the California dry- blade over the flare it.......
made me realize it is pretty damn sexy.....in black anyways...he, he

Ya kind of like, hey lets put these add-on lips around the wheel well and call it a flareside. Like Harley said the current flareside flows with the truck, its part of the truck.

Not that the new truck don't look good they are nice but I wouldn't run out to buy one just not that good looking except the Lighting, now that is a HOT looking truck, LOVE the hood...
