Hey Everyone!
I am looking at a 2002 F150 Lariat. It has under 300,000 miles . Is there anything you can tell me about this type of truck??

What engine?

well with near 300k it is well used and most every common problem these trucks have has been addressed a couple times over
it better be cheap

that said, we bought an 03 4 years ago with 250ishK miles on it
today it has over 350K miles and still going strong
all we've had fix on it other than normal tire/brake stuff is a shifter cable and 1 blown spark plug back in November
the kid had the rocker panels replaced shortly after we got it $1000
my kid drives it every day and he beats the crap out of it regularly

A Timesert and good as new! Make sure you torque them to 28 ft/lb and you won't have any more blowouts.

Give it a good inspection. Look underneath for rust, leaks, damage, etc. Check the ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, and sway bar links for looseness.

V8 5.4

The 2 valve 5.4 is a solid engine. That's the engine that was in that guy's million mile van.
