no 4.2l V6 to mod motor swaps?

most of the answers I see on this topic is "just buy a v8", so i'm putting that out there so we can get that part out of the way.

I can't seem to find any info on anyone doing a swap from a 4.2l v6 to a modular motor such as a 4.6l, 5.4l or 5.0 coyote. of course the 4.6l swap isnt worth it, and at this point the 5.4l swap isnt worth it either unless it's the lightning or a 32v 5.4l navigator engine built and twinturbo'd

People seem to swap for bigger in Ford Rangers, and every other car/truck, but not the 4.2l v6 guys.

From what I understand, its the frame side motor mounts, and a different bellhousing on the 4r70W/m5od transmissions for the 4.2l v6 f150 vs the v8 f150s.

I've got a Turbocharged 03 single cab stepside 4.2l v6 thats in amazing condition for its age, but its now time for an engine overhaul or replacement since it's now burning oil because of "blow-by".

I'd much rather swap in an f150 5.0 and 6r80, but looks like i'm just going to do the practical thing and buy a used 4.2l v6 engine replacement. I don't want to put money into rebuilding my current engine, or rebuilding to handle more boost etc, it lasted a good 10 years on the 8psi turbo setup in stock configuration.

just blows my mind that i can't find any info for anyone doing swaps on these since ford has the wiring and pcm available for coyote swapping anything, especially if the hold up is just frame side engine mounts and transmission.

if anyone has any info on the frame side engine mounts such as adapters or how to go about buying weld in replacements feel free to post up.

not going to sell my truck for a v8, i dont need a v8 truck that bad, i dont even really need the truck that bad lol, but figure if im coyote swapping my 01 bullitt, it would be cool to coyote swap my 03 f150 also.

main reason there are few swaps is the trans bellhousing is different so requires a different trans, computer and everything plus an engine
so it's just a lot easier in the long run to buy a different truck as you basicly need a different truck to make it happen anyway

Yes, I agree, but if it's a toy and it's something you want to learn, then sure. Why not. I would never do it and make it a daily driver, especially if I valued my job.
