Not that you would care much at this point, but the converter stall speeds are a bit different between engine sizes, truck weights and gear ratios..
Otherwise it should bolt up. 4R70 with 4R70.
Don't relay on it being built heavier unless the tag version can be shown this, is true.
The 4r100 is the heavier unit..
The extra clutches and other changes is what makes it a 4r100 to handle extra torque.

You can use any 4R70W out of a 2001-2003 2wd F-150, direct swap. Anything else may require some modding. The only difference between a 4.6 and 5.4 transmission that matters is the torque converter stall speed, as Bluegrass mentioned.
VERY few F-150's after 1998 used the 4R100. Some of the 5.4's with the 7700 GVWR package had them, and the supercharged Lightning and Harley trucks had them. You cannot put a 4R100 in your truck without major mods, including the PCM.
