Gotts mod impossible

So i bought 3 inch tubing and pvc pipe, opened the hood and fitted the pvc pipe in the hole kn the firewall, but i noticed the tube coming out of the airbox is like 2.5 inches and the rubber tubing goes wayyyy over it, and they do not make a 2.5 inch tubing, so im at a loss for what to do here

Hey Sky, ya got 8 threads going on just the first page here plus others going on a different board.
Maybe you need to consider a Horse and Buggy and get rid of the truck.
At least he would be a good friend and pet, especially if you bring Carrots to meet him every day.
Might be a lot less work and expense for the effort.
Yeer confusin us man! We can't keep up with ya.
Good luck.:D

You will need to get a stock intake from a 99 and up. I found this out about a year and half ago after buying what was supposed to be a used intake from a 2000 5.4L F150. What I was sent, was one for a 97-98.

As you can see, there is a difference. A used one from a junkyard should not be expensive. It's definitely worth it.
