Spongy Brake Diagnostic
No leaks I've found. Fluid level good. In fresh snowfall, I applied medium pressure and it seems left front and rear slid but both right kept rolling. I repeated on two surfaces and got same results. I admit I'm no Daniel Boone so not sure of my tracking results.
Any suggestions?

Not normal for the drum to be really hot. Hot to the touch may be normal. if it is hotter than normal You either adjusted the shoes too tight or the wheel cylinder is sticking. I always rebuilt the wheel cylinders when I replaced shoes because I found out the hard way that they most likely would start leaking if I didn't because the pistons were pushed back on rusted cylinders and the seals wouldn't hold. Sounds like yours may be sticking.

Thx for the response. Adjusting screw was full in so implies cylinder problem. Only reason I question that is that the shoes appear to be contacting the anchor pin at the top.(I have pics, but can't figure out how to attach them). I'm headed out to jack it up and pull both rears so may find something else.
