Valve cover tubes on V6

Explain the purpose of the rubber tube going into each valve cover on my 2002 V6. One goes into the throttle body intake and the other appears to go into my PCV valve underneath the IAC valve.

PCV stands for positive crankcase ventilation. It has to have an inlet and an outlet. The one to the intake is the inlet and the one to the PCV valve is the outlet.

Thanks! I had just assumed (dangerous word) that the positive pressure was from heat and combustion only. This makes it more understandable.

How is this handled with only one valve cover?

The inlet connects elsewhere on the engine.
