Cylinder 8 Misfire and Unsecured COP
03 F150 4.6 E/C 4x4, 315,700 km (197,000 miles)
Had misfire yesterday, code is P0308, cylinder 8 misfire.
History - broke #8 COP hold down bolt last fall when changing spark plugs, originally cross threaded and then bolt head broke off. Tough location, and I have never had luck removing broken bolts, let alone one under the fuel rail.
Ran fine until now with COP sitting on plug but not secured.
Maybe should pull plug as well, cannot remember which misfire I originally had that caused me to change all even though they were overdue at time anyway?
Will this be a reoccurring issue with an unsecured COP? Or more likely mileage on this COP (likely original)?
Thoughts appreciated

Update - original P0308, caused by failed COP, caused by failed driver memory to avoid puddles. Found water in spark plug boot on removal. Replaced with bargain Rock Auto option.
Recent P058, briefly, originally thought I did something similar. But found no water, think it was caused by failed wire connector lock to COP, newer style doesn’t easily accept lock (probably due to hard to keep COP in place without the broken hold down bolt). Re-lubed base of boot where it meets motor with dielectric grease. No problems this past week.
