Exclamation First it overheated, now it will not crank.

I have a 1998 F-150 4.6L V8 with automatic transmission. Over the past four days, it has lost antifreeze/water and no evidence of it on the ground. I fill it up and within 24 hours, it's gone. I mean literally gone! I filled it up, got it warm, no leaks no where. I have looked under the truck, in the engine bay and everywhere in between; it's gone. Now today while driving it, the oil gauge fluttered( between high and low), the engine died and now it will not even crack. Battery is good! I'm thinking (and praying that it did not) blew the head gasket. Checked the oil, it's good. Not cloudy or anything, just looks like used oil.

Need help or suggestions on what it could be? Thanks

Was white smoke coming out the exhaust?

See if you can turn the engine by hand on the harmonic balancer bolt.

There was some white smoke, but nothing unusual. Tried turning it by hand, no luck. Looks like it seized up.

Pull the spark plugs and try turning it by hand again. It may just be hydrolocked.

Either way, I think a rebuild or replacement is in your future.
