Bucket TO Bench seat conversion in a 2002 F150

My husband has been wanting and needing a truck. I am a realtor and finally sold a luxury home so I have a few grand to buy him and older truck. I found a F150 super crew for sale in my area that I am going to look at to possibly purchase. However, it has bucket seats and I would need to find and install a split bench as we need the seating for our kids (if we use the truck ever for camping etc). What I am trying to find out, is if that swap is possible. I have seen LOTS of posts and info about switching from a bench seat TO buckets, but I need to do the reverse. I am assuming it is possible, however, I need to know for sure.

Any thoughts? If it is possible where would I find a seat? The truck seems like a really good deal and I'd like to go ****** it up if this can happen. If not, its not worth it because we would need six seats for road trips etc.

It should bolt right up. Check junkyards, I think any 97-03 seat from any cab style should work. Don't forget a center seat belt.

Agreed it should not be an issue. The holes should be in the floor. Might not be threaded yet, but the seat bolts are self tapping into the bores.

Seems to me if it has buckets now, all holes should already be drilled and tapped. It's when you replace a bench with buckets or a split bench you need to deal with the inboard holes.
