98 F150 Park On Uphill Slope, Engine Won't Start...until...

1998 F150, 4.6L, 2WD, +205K Miles

This has happened twice in the last 6 weeks or so. I had at least half a tank of gas both times. I would pull into a parking spot with an uphill slope. Once it was pretty big, the other time it was barely uphill.

I turn off the truck, and come back to crank it, and it sputters then dies. Won't do anything but turnover and over, never actually starting up.

However, if I wait for 30-40 minutes and come back to it, it starts right up.

Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?

Check the fuel pressure. The pump may be weak.
