EGR doesn't fit after BBK header installation?
 

Bought the 3518 headers from BBK, and my EGR tube doesn't fit?

Anyone else have this issue with BBK headers on a 1999 F150 5.4L 4x4?

Also, does anyone know how to fix it NOT using some rubber hose that's going to melt in 10 minutes?? or know of a rubber hose that's rated for like 1200 degrees? lol

i've owned this truck for years, and always did my own repairs, the headers were the last piece to replace within the past 2 years... EGR tube is new, y pipe with cats is new and cat back is new.

Exactly my problem, header bung is welded about 15-20 degrees the wrong direction, now the EGR won't fit. I thought I had a work around, but it didn't seal (I cut the EGR tube to header connector, bent the end and used High Temp JB weld to seal it). The JB has held up fine, but the angle wouldn't let the connection make contact with the flange a

nd the cone a few weeks later it set the EGR code. any Ideas?

What i ended up having to do was i bought a brand new EGR tube from local parts store for about $110.

then we sliced it about half way up the tube to the egr on the intake side. Tried to get a thread started at the top and on the headers. Once we were successful (took a couple slices with the dremel) catching a good thread top and bottom, we welded a thick washer in, cut it flush after fully welding the gap. Then the EGR worked as intended.

if you have your old EGR tube you might be able to use some material from that to lap joint it. Probably easier than the washer approach
