For those folks who are unable to use the search function and can only look through the topics, this is the answer.
YES 285/70/17 (GOODYEAR DURATRAC) TIRES WILL FIT A STOCK 4X4 F150. In this instance the truck is a 2001 F150 4x4 off road package with a STOCK SUSPENSION. It has new Bilstein shocks and new components (ball joints, bushings, tie rods, etc) but nothing is different than the day I bought her from the Stealership.

There are no rubs, clunks, whines, or noises. They are a bit noisy compared to the old Goodyear AT-S tires I had 63,400 miles on, but the Flowmaster drowns them out anyway.

I hope this helps decrease the countless "will my tire fit" questions.

It will depend on the wheels used. Stock no issue, wider or different offset may cause some rub. My expedition did not rub on the stock wheels, bu had a slight rub with the 17X9 zero offset Helos.

I like to drive out on the beach sand and I've been thinking about going to that size next time. Sometimes I can go on the sand without deflating my stock size 265/70x17 Michelins and sometimes I have to deflate them. One time I had to deflate to 15psig to get unstuck. Never had to call a tow truck like some have though.....

I buy the Michelins with the street tread design.

There are two stretches of beach close to me that I can drive on. One is 4 miles long!
