2002 King Ranch won't start

Tried to start up my truck yesterday and at first it turned over and sounded like it was just having a rough start-up. Then it screeched really loud and died. Same thing today, but now it's not turning over at all. Does this sound like a bad starter? She's got a lot of miles on her, so I'm just hoping it's not a major fix.

Remove the serpentine belt and try again. If it now cranks, one of the belt-driven accessories has locked up. I'd vote for the compressor clutch pulley.
