2007+ dash swap!!

Ok so I havnt posted or really messed with my truck in years, but it's time to dust of the fiddy and do some of the ideas I've had for years. One of them being updated interior. I'm currently in the middle of this project but i have most of it figured out. Here's a teaser pic.

With a little help from patmans flow through shifter thread I should have the floor shifter working!

Nice! Super Duty dash?

Halverso_99 06-24-2014 09:48 PM

Awesome!

A little late now, but an Expy dash would have been a little more plug and play fitment.

you're in Dallas right? Give me a shout if you need a hand getting something figured out

It's an expo dash. So far everything looks like it's gonna work out great. My only concern is steering wheel air bag. I've modded my factory passenger air bag unit to accept the new dash so it bolts in which is a big plus.

Well it's no where near done. A lot of adapting the f150 components to fit the the new dash. The dash fits nicely in there but you have to cut, drill and nut sert. The expos a/c ducting even fits to the f150s air box, so I've got cold air coming from the vents.(which is a relief). I still needs a lot of retro fitting but haven't been able to work on it in a while

Dash removed from the f150 and cross bar cutout so the expedition one will bolt in with the dash

That's awesome! What are you planning on doing for the instrument cluster?

I cut the old one down in areas to fit in the dash but it's gonna take some fiberglass sculpting to flow right. I'm adapting everything f150 to the dash she'll so everything will work properly.

ak_cowboy 01-23-2015 06:34 PM

sub'd to see you finish it.

Halverso_99 01-24-2015 11:40 PM

So in general it fits quite well, the difficulty is just in the details and having everything line up properly?

keenanhons 01-25-2015 05:29 PM

Yeah it fits in nicely but it mounts a little different. The difficulty is gonna be wiring, making last century door panels match the dash styling, adapting the differnt shape components like gauges,a/c controls to the new dash.
