Please Help a Girl Out!!! Can't find my low valve for the AC
I am trying to re-charge the AC in my 2003 F-150 V8 Single Cab. I have found the high side, but for the life of me cannot find the low. I have read on here that it is near the fire wall. I have looked at a diagram, but am more of a specifically visual person. Does ANYONE have a pic or can take a pic and show me? :help:

how do you plan on recharging the a/c .....low side is more for evacuation .....all you need is the high side for recharging
|
You can't charge through the high side. The pressure is too high to add any refrigerant. The low side line is between the firewall and the compressor, it is the larger aluminum line.

I have looked there and it is no where to be found. I took it to an auto shop and they can't find it either. The guy said that it is more than likely under the cover where the radiator is at, but I've never heard of it being anywhere near there.

its hard to find. Its on the accumulator. Next to the battery below the firewall relay. You can recharge on that port but generally if you loose the juice there is a leak that needs to be fixed.

Thanks a bunch....I just bought it about a month ago and I would like to see how long it holds the charge before I start looking for a leak.
